Loving Spoonful Mealtime Assistance Training-Upon completion of the course, participants receive a certification card and silver spoon. Volunteers provide encouragement and/or physical assistance with eating. The social atmosphere that volunteers provide encourages those they are helping and improves their appetite, providing the resident with an overall sense of well-being and improved quality of life.
