VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Volunteers are the heart and soul of our programs. We’re looking for incredibly helpful people who are relentlessly positive, see all students as having potential, and are able to promote a love of learning. Folks with an average of 1-3 hours per week are encouraged to apply to become tutors and youth mentors to our students this 2016–2017 school year. We have a range of volunteer roles to fill, from homework and writing tutors to creative workshop leaders and more. Please visit our volunteer page to learn more about the diverse opportunities available: http://826valencia.org/get-involved/volunteer/. The majority of our volunteer shifts occur on weekdays between 9AM-6PM, though we do offer some evening and weekend programming. **We are currently in high need of volunteers who are comfortable tutoring math, who have availability between 2PM and 7PM on weekdays.**

Requirements for working with youth:
Available between the hours of 8:00AM and 3:00PM, Monday through Friday
18 years of age or older
Able to provide or obtain proof of a negative TB test or clear TB risk assessment from within the past four years
Willing to submit to a LiveScan background check
Excited about supporting the development of young learners!
