About Us:

Dulce Vida Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving California and Mexico. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome sick, abused, and abandoned dogs and cats. We also provide spay and neuter services through local clinic partnerships and promote responsible pet ownership within our communities.

Role Summary:


As a volunteer Grant Writer, you will play a key role in helping us sustain and expand our work. Responsibilities include:

Researching grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources
Writing compelling and well-structured grant proposals
Collaborating with the team to gather program information and data
Submitting applications and tracking deadlines
Assisting in reporting and follow-up with funders as needed

What We're Looking For:

Strong writing and research skills
Ability to understand and convey our mission and programs clearly
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising is preferred
