Opportunity Summary
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) is preparing a German-language campaign as part of its Humanitarian Reset for 2025. They’re seeking 2 volunteers to conduct in-depth research and trend analysis to shape the campaign’s strategy and messaging for a German audience.
What You’ll Do
Analyze trends in how humanitarian aid is perceived in German media and public discourse
Monitor news outlets, influencers, and public conversations (Weeks 1–4)
Compile and analyze findings (Weeks 4–6)
Identify key trends and target audiences (Weeks 7–9)
Prepare final report with recommendations (Weeks 11–12)
You’ll play a key role in crafting a campaign that demonstrates the value of German humanitarian aid and builds public support for global relief efforts.
Who We’re Looking For
Fluent in German (native level) and English (fluent)
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Interest in international development, humanitarian aid, or nonprofit work
Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
