TIME COMMITMENT: 4 hours/month, 1-year minimum
REQUIREMENTS: Interview and police check. English required; French an asset.

Tipi of Hope Foundation, an Indigenous-founded and led registered charity based in Calgary, is seeking passionate volunteers to join its Board of Directors. This remote opportunity is ideal for individuals who are committed to reconciliation, community-building, and supporting Indigenous-led initiatives.

Board members help shape and guide the Foundation’s mission to foster partnerships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.

The organization prioritizes a diverse and representative board, currently composed of 83% Indigenous members, and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds—particularly those with expertise in the following areas:

- Accounting or finance
- Legal/corporate governance
- Policing or justice
- Fundraising and donor relations
- Website design or social media
- Program development

Volunteers should demonstrate strategic leadership, sound decision-making, and prior experience in nonprofit, public, or corporate board settings.
Familiarity with Google Drive or similar cloud-based platforms is preferred but not required—training can be provided.
