Please join Worldwide in supporting Penn Orphan Disease Center’s Million Dollar Bike ride in Philadelphia!
This year is the first year Worldwide is sponsoring Penn Orphan Disease Center’s (PennODC) Million Dollar Bike ride, and we’d love a big turnout! Whether you want to ride your bike, walk the Million Dollar Mile, or volunteer for a few hours, your support and participation would be much appreciated!
This event raises money for rare disease research. Anyone can participate! Teams and individuals can sign up to ride, fundraise, and volunteer. If you are interested in riding, please register to join the Rare Matters Worldwide team!
Teams have the option to represent specific rare diseases and enter a lottery for a chance to receive matching funds from PennODC for research grants. If selected for matching funds, the team decides what research to support, and PennODC takes on the work of administering the grants on behalf of the rare disease organization. This keeps the funding power under the control of the advocacy organization and ensures the research supports the science that matters to the patient community.
