Volunteer Opportunity: Professional Practice Committee Member with APEGA and Geoscientists Canada

The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) is seeking one professional member (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) to serve on the Geoscientists Canada Professional Practice Committee.

As a volunteer on this committee, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

-Contribute to enhancing and supporting the professional practice of geoscience

-Develop a strong understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technology as they relate to geoscience

-Review, consider, and provide guidance on matters of geoscience professional practice

-Review, document, and develop geoscience professional practice considerations for potential use by geoscience regulators, practitioners, and other stakeholders

The committee meets monthly, and this is an excellent chance for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact within the geoscience community.

Ideal candidates will possess:

- A solid commitment to advancing the professional practice of geoscience

-Strong understanding of AI tools and technology and their applications in geoscience

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills

-The ability to work effectively as part of a committee
