NGA Volunteer Opportunity: Grant-Writing and Fundraising

About NGA:
Newington Green Alliance (NGA) is a UK registered charity dedicated to fostering community connections and relationships across diverse backgrounds in Hackney and Islington, particularly around Newington Green, London.

Role:
NGA is seeking volunteers to undertake grant-writing and fundraising tasks. This role is crucial in supporting NGA's community-building initiatives as they expand into new geographical areas.

Skills:

Experienced Volunteers:
NGA welcomes individuals with prior experience in grant-writing and fundraising.

Inexperienced Volunteers:
Applicants new to volunteering as NGA fundraisers should possess the following skills:

Proficient in IT use, including internet searching, email, Google Workspace, and basic database understanding.
Comfortable with making calls and effectively collaborating with representatives from external organizations.
Fluent and professional English writing skills.
Persuasive writing ability.
Capability to assess various complex factors when making decisions.
Excellent organizational skills to manage diverse information.
Willingness to dedicate a minimum of 3 hours per week for at least 6 months to volunteering.
