Description
Winter Volunteer Opportunities: Empower Adult Refugees through English Education!

Join the Washington English Center in their mission to teach and tutor English to adult immigrants and refugees this winter! We're seeking enthusiastic volunteers for both online and in-person roles, and no teaching experience is necessary. We provide comprehensive workshops and resources throughout the term to support our volunteers.

Volunteers commit to meeting once a week, either online or in downtown DC, dedicating 1-3 hours a week for 11 weeks. You'll follow a provided syllabus and textbook and receive continuous training. Additionally, we offer substitute teaching roles that provide flexibility without the weekly commitment.

If you're interested in making a meaningful difference and want to learn more or apply, visit our website at Washington English Center Volunteers or reach out to Yaritza Abrego, our Associate Director of Volunteers and Partnerships.
