Description
The Leaders in Training (LIT) program is designed for youth aged 13-17, aiming to cultivate leadership abilities and provide hands-on experience while enjoying engaging activities with children. This initiative not only empowers youth but also encourages them to contribute to their community while earning valuable school leadership hours.

As a Leader In Training, participants actively support City of Edmonton recreation leaders in organizing and conducting summer programs for children.

Experience the Leaders in Training Program - 2023
The Leaders in Training program offers a two-week block where youth receive comprehensive training and a hands-on placement to apply their newly acquired skills.

On Mentoring Mondays, training sessions will be held at either Mill Woods Recreation Centre (7202 28 Avenue), Commonwealth Community Recreation Centre (11000 Stadium Road NW), or Kinsmen Sports Centre (9100 Walterdale Hill). Your training location will be determined by the registered program you choose. Specific training times and room details will be communicated to you prior to the start of your program.

This program is a fantastic opportunity for youth to develop leadership skills in a practical setting while contributing positively to their community.
