Heartland Hospice: Calling for Community Support through Arts and Crafts

About Heartland Hospice:

Heartland Hospice is dedicated to serving around 200 patients and their families daily. They provide invaluable support to individuals in their final journey, as well as their caregivers and those who have experienced loss. The challenges posed by COVID-19 have exacerbated the feelings of isolation and loneliness faced by their clients. In response, Heartland Hospice has devised innovative ways for community members to demonstrate love and support through meaningful arts, crafts, and sewing projects.

Volunteer Opportunity:

Heartland Hospice invites community members to contribute to this heartwarming initiative. Volunteers have the flexibility to work on these projects from the comfort of their homes and at their own pace. Once completed, the finished projects can be conveniently delivered to Heartland Hospice's business office. The organization provides educational resources about hospice and an idea booklet to guide volunteers.

Suggested Projects:

Memory Tins
Busy Boxes
Prayer Beads
Jewelry Art
Memory Bears, Pillows, and Shawls
Your Creative Ideas:

Heartland Hospice also welcomes creative project ideas that can bring comfort and joy to patients and their families during these challenging times. It's an opportunity to make a difference through creativity and compassion.

How to Get Involved:

If you're eager to make a positive impact by contributing to arts, crafts, and sewing projects, Heartland Hospice would love to collaborate with you. To express your interest, request educational materials, or share your project ideas, please contact Cheryl Forrester at Cheryl.Forrester@ProMedica.org or call 317-251-3012.

Join Heartland Hospice in providing support, comfort, and love to individuals and families facing extraordinary difficulties. Together, we can make a positive impact on those in need during these challenging times.
