Purple Tree Cafe, a small nonprofit organization in Davis, California, is on a mission to provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities while fostering inclusivity through music and art. To support these efforts, Purple Tree Cafe is seeking a Social Media Volunteer who can work alongside their Board and Executive Team to enhance and expand their social media presence.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Consistent Social Media Posting: Maintain regular posts on Instagram and Facebook to foster community engagement.

Media Creation: Develop creative and innovative media content, such as graphics and potentially videos, to promote events, campaigns, and programs.

Social Media Monitoring: Keep an eye on social media accounts, respond to user interactions, and engage with the online community.

Design Work in Canva: If needed, engage in design work using Canva, with training provided as necessary.

Post Scheduling: Utilize Facebook Business Suite to schedule and publish posts and media.

Content Creation: Write short, blog-style posts on provided subjects.

Requirements:

Proficiency with Facebook and Instagram: A strong understanding of these platforms is essential.

Knowledge or Interest in Learning Canva: Familiarity with or a willingness to learn Canva for graphic design.

Availability: Dedicate approximately 1 hour per week to design, schedule, and post content as required.
