Check our latest %23volunteer opportunity: Spanish-Language Coaches needed to work with low-income women / WOMEN'S MONEY MATTERS via%20%40GozAround
Women's Money Matters is actively seeking Spanish-speaking volunteers for a virtual program starting on July 14th.
The organization is looking for dedicated volunteers fluent in Spanish to join their program and assist low-income women in Massachusetts on their journey towards financial independence. By committing just an hour and a half a week, volunteers can make a profound impact on the lives of individuals in their community.
As volunteer coaches, they will play a vital role in building the financial literacy, confidence, and security of these women. Women's Money Matters offers a unique program that combines instructional workshops and personalized one-on-one coaching, tailored to address the specific financial challenges faced by each client. The program works in collaboration with local social service agencies and financial institutions to ensure a comprehensive approach.
Financial expertise is not a requirement for becoming a coach; the most important qualities are a genuine desire to help and support others. Key responsibilities for volunteer coaches include:
Demonstrating a genuine interest in and commitment to working with low-income women
Maintaining strict confidentiality of all client financial and personal information
Committing to a 14-week duration of coaching for each participant
Participating in a coaches' orientation to familiarize themselves with the program
Maintaining one or two follow-up contacts with their clients between workshops
Participating in the monthly Coaches' Exchange to share experiences and insights
Volunteers have the opportunity to empower low-income women, helping them overcome financial challenges and achieve long-term stability. Women's Money Matters emphasizes that all coaches should be women, as per the preference of their students.
