Role Description

Girl Now Woman Later Inc. (GNWL), a startup Non-Profit Organization, is currently seeking a Grant Writer to support our organization in applying for private and government grant opportunities. We are looking for a skilled writer who aligns with GNWL's positive mindset working environment. The Grant Writing Intern will have a passion for writing and storytelling, using their talents to make a difference by helping young disadvantaged girls in impoverished areas in Burkina Faso.

The successful volunteer Grant Writer will possess strong research and writing skills, with the ability to comprehend and adhere to grantmaking guidelines from targeted foundations. They will create compelling proposals that effectively present GNWL's mission, while meeting all grant requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare and submit foundation Letters of Inquiry (LOI), grant proposals, and reports within designated deadlines, ensuring consistently high-quality submissions.
Conduct thorough research to understand the guidelines and preferences of targeted foundations for effective proposal writing.
Collaborate with the GNWL team to gather necessary information and data to support grant applications.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of grant applications and outcomes.
This volunteer position is entirely virtual, allowing for flexibility in working hours and location.
