Check our latest %23volunteer opportunity: Assist Native Americans to pot Native plant starts at Elderberry Wisdom Farm / ELDERBERRY WISDOM FARM via%20%40GozAround
Hello friends of Elderberry Wisdom Farm!
We hope this message finds you well and safe. Some of you may have volunteered at our Farm in the past, so we wanted to check in and say hello on this beautiful day.
Thanks to the amazing efforts of our volunteers, we have made a lot of progress over the past two years. We potted over 800 Native plants in our temporary greenhouse, which were then planted along a 350 foot hedgerow along the road. This year, we're excited to announce the opening of our Native American Plant Nursery LLC and we're getting ready to pot 1,000 new Native plant starts.
We're looking for volunteers to help us with upcoming activities on Sunday, March 12, Saturday, March 18, or Sunday, March 19. On these dates, we'll be planting various types of Native plant starts in 2 gallon pots, including Pacific Dogwood, Blue Elderberry, Thimbleberry, Douglas Spirea, Low Oregon Grape, Tall Oregon Grape, Mock Orange, Nootka Rose, Wood Rose, Oceanspray, and Pacific Crabapple.
If you're interested in volunteering or have any questions, please don't hesitate to email Rose at rose@elderberrywisdom.org.
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to working with you!
Best regards,
Rose High Bear (Deg Hit'an Dine, Inupiaq)
