California Free Legal Answers (FLA) is an online legal advice platform that offers free legal advice to low-income residents of Northern California. Attorney volunteers will select a client’s question to answer and draft an answer to the client. Volunteers then email their drafted answer to us and an expert attorney in that area edits the draft, emails it back, and the attorney posts the revised answer to the client.

To sign up:

first, complete the training which can be found at https://disasterlegalservicesca.org/flatraining/
then head to ca.freelegalanswers.org to create an account.
Attorneys with over 10 years’ experience can sign up to review answers in their area of expertise
