Food Rescue US is a leader in reducing both hunger and food waste in America by transforming a negative, food waste, into a positive, delivering fresh, healthy food to millions of people through our community of dedicated volunteer food rescuers. Food rescuers pick-up excess food from local food donors, including grocery stores, restaurants, corporate dining facilities, and other food providers, and deliver it to local social service agencies providing for the food insecure. Rescuers use their own vehicles and select times that are convenient for them to pick-up and drop-off the excess food. The process is quick, simple, and incredibly rewarding.
