Description
You can contribute to supporting the Trail by helping to care for, steward, and maintain it!

There are a variety of ways for people to volunteer in support of the Appalachian Trail. The on-Trail maintenance that takes place, thanks to the hard work of thousands of individuals, is essential work that helps to increase positive experiences for visitors and ensure the Trail and its benefits are available for generations to come. Trail maintenance work can include: clearing fallen trees, cutting back overgrown vegetation from the sides of the Trail, and repainting trail markers (a.k.a blazes). This work - and so much more - keeps the Appalachian Trail alive and is all done by volunteers!

Join the Georgia Appalachian Trail Club (GATC) on Saturday, July 9 at 8 a.m. near Blairsville, Georgia for a day of essential trail maintenance. Meeting location subject to change.
