Description
Your new phone friendship starts here! Help address social isolation among DOROT seniors. After an orientation, you will be matched with an older adult from DOROT for an eight-week series of weekly 20-30 minute phone calls at a mutually convenient time that you will select with your match. This is a great opportunity to share wisdom and friendship with someone of your own or a different generation.

DOROT is a social services organization based in New York City and Westchester dedicated to addressing social isolation and promoting social connections for older adults. The average age of DOROT clients is 83. We welcome volunteers ages 18+ from throughout the U.S. to volunteer for Caring Calls.

The best way to learn more is to sign up for a general information and orientation session. These take place over Zoom twice per month. To learn more about DOROT, please visit www.dorotusa.org or contact volunteers@dorotusa.org.
