S.H.O.W. LavaLove® FREE Statewide Community Events
S.H.O.W. LavaLove® event locations were specifically chosen to embed into the heart of communities hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. The FREE statewide events are open to anyone, anywhere who needs same day assistance, providing FREE food, brand new clothing, education, employment, housing, shelter, and financial assistance; vaccines, medical exams, dental exams, and various other types of assistance through over 50+ onsite community partners, and a special appearance and performance by a celebrity guest. The goal of these events is to begin the restorative process and access to critical services from the moment guests enter the event. This event is expected to serve over 1,000 people inside the arena, on a first-come, first-reserved basis; due to an anticipated high turnout, guests are encouraged to reserve their free tickets through Eventbrite to ensure they have entrance to the event: https://powerchangeslives.eventbrite.com



New for this year, at each event, guests can shop for free at the pop-up clothing store Plenti® where they can “purchase” at no cost, brand new clothing generously donated by Amazon® and will receive a ticket for a free meal.

S.H.O.W. LavaLove® will also make a stop in Newark, NJ at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on July 16th. Guests are encouraged to sign up through Eventbrite as tickets are expected to sell out quickly and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests can pre-register for these events through Eventbrite.



100 Volunteers in 100 Days
To pull off such a huge feat as the S.H.O.W. LavaLove® events, there is an urgent need for volunteers. Volunteers are the core of ensuring that each of the services provided to guests are delivered with Radical Hospitality. Those interested in volunteering as a general volunteer or medical service provider should signup through Eventbrite: https://powerchangeslives.eventbrite.com. Volunteers are provided virtual training prior to the event and range from guest services, event guides to mobile hygiene shower trailer operations. Adults, high school and college students, corporations, retirees, fraternities, sororities, and civic organizations are encouraged to sign-up.

About LavaLove®
LavaLove® is a 29-foot mobile hygiene shower trailer equipped with 3 shower-sink-toilets, washing machine/dryer, and an ancillary services room (medical, dental, optometry, and mental health screenings) that also serves as a barber/grooming room. LavaLove® serves communities in need three days per week and provide over 8,000 showers per year. LavaLove® addresses those who are water-insecure, and those food-insecure providing hot meals at the trailer site, and onsite access to medical providers, supporting its mission to provide access to clean, hot water and medical services beyond traditional shelter and hospital settings.
