Description
Spend just an hour with a student each week and you could really make a difference!

Phoenix Family's HIKE Reading Program invites volunteers to work one-on-one with students grades K-8 who are struggling with reading. These students live in our low-income housing communities and often do not get the attention they need to learn to read.

We prepare the lesson plan and activities, you just come build confidence, encourage, and have fun!

One-hour volunteer shifts are available Monday-Thursday from 4:45 to 6:30 pm. No skills needed, you just need to be 18 years old and complete a background check. We will give you all the training you need.

Contact us at volunteer@phoenixfamily.org for more information. Or complete our online application here: http://www.phoenixfamily.org/HIKE/volunteer-application.html
