Description
The Unconditional Freedom Project has developed a program for those incarcerated to transform their experience of prison into that of a monastery, where they are equipped to spend their time in contemplation, meditation and yoga.

The program is called The Art Of Soulmaking, it is an 8-week experience that delivers a journey of self-inquiry, healing, and awakening of the interior life to people living in incarceration. Each person in prison is paired with a volunteer to exchange correspondence with throughout their journey.

As a volunteer, you will be trained in this program and given the tools and resources to communicate intimately with the students creating a connection a space for them to develop a foundation of healing.

Every volunteer undergoes a four-week training period, and then is provided access to a database to receive and write their letters, once approved, the volunteer handwrites a letter and sends it to the student.

Most volunteers find this experience to be deeply moving and rewarding, building a connection with someone who may seem different or separate and yet together we find a way to connect.

This opportunity is 100 % remote and completed through our virtual platform.
