Experience:

Proven experience as treasurer, finance/CPA or in a relevant financial role.
Financial risk management.
Financial management procedures.
Effective decision making.
Financial forecasting & reporting.
Development of financial strategies.
Financial laws as related to non-profits, regulations & practices.
Financing methods & techniques.
Financial management software.
Good with numbers & figures.


Board Member Function:

General financial oversight.
Funding, fundraising and sales.
Financial planning, budgeting & controls.
Financial reporting & taxation processes/filing.
Banking, book keeping and record keeping.
Control of fixed assets and stock.
Building financial relationships.


Requirements:

Financial knowledge of non-profit/for profit organization.
Personal commitment to devote the time necessary to perform the responsibilities of Treasurer/financial chief.
Understanding of financial accounting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Well-organized, honest and reliable.
Excellent leadership abilities.
College degree or higher in finance, accounting or relevant field.
