COVID ASSISTANCE -

In the early days of the pandemic, our co-founder Alan Thomas, worrying about his own condition, build a prototype ventilator for the very worst case. He realized that other people could need such devices and that there will be a life threatening shortage of not only ventilators but also medical professionals and oxygen. The places that will need those the most, however, will not be able to afford expensive and maybe not even cheap devices in the numbers needed.

He reached out to Michael, whom he thought to be qualified for the challenge ahead, and together they set out to build smart ventilators and oxygen concentrators that are cost and energy effective. They agreed, that what they will create should be made accessible to those who need it, not those that can afford it.

In June 2020, we have obtained the Certificate of Incorporation that verifies our status as a Charitable Trust. Soon after that we have been recognized as a Charity by New Zealand’s internal affairs and received the IRD 132-386-595. On the 26th of August we also received a US Employer Identification Number (EIN) and we are currently applying for the 501(c)3 status.

It is an important progress as we are currently just at the beginning of initiating our funding campaign. Our Project rises and falls with donations.

We are establishing the connections and protocols for the medical supervision and involvement with organisations, as well as the patients themselves. We seek to gather enough funding to build 20 Prototypes that can be send to the FDA, charitable Foundations, Clinics or other interested organizations that can provide valuable feedback.
