Power up the Planet accepts old electronics from people who no longer use them, which we then refurbish and donate to nonprofits and charities within Edmonton and the surrounding areas. We are looking for volunteers who have a strong interest and knowledge in electronics and how to properly refurbish them. We usually collect things such as: computers (laptop and desktop), printers, cell phones, keyboards, mice, televisions and more. Computers are our most donated item, so a working knowledge of how to repair computers is ideal. Some other duties may be required, such as attending or hosting events, reaching out to the community, delivering/picking up electronics, fundraising, and working on the Power up the Planet website.
