Maison Chance is a springboard for orphans, street children, disadvantaged people and people with disabilities in Vietnam. We provide housing, healthcare, education and vocational training, and a place where the under-privileged children and the disabled can study and work, facilitating their rehabilitation and reinsertion into social life. You could say that the saying "Give A Man A Fish, Feed Him for A Day. Teach A Man to Fish, Feed Him for A Lifetime" is practiced here at Maison Chance every day!

Maison Chance has specialized classes tailored to the needs of mentally handicapped children in both our centers in HCMC and ??k Nông. While students with physical and mental disabilities are taught together with the other students if they meet the requirements and keep up with their classmates, there are still close to 20 students in our special needs class each year. Volunteer with us today if you want to make a real impact through creating something transformative!

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Help our special needs students who have motor and/or mental disabilities to develop skills such as autonomy, socialization and knowledge of the environment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with other classroom teachers and volunteers to provide an integrated plan or develop lesson plans for developing the capacities of our special needs students
• Explore ways with volunteers and other staff in other therapy areas (such a equine therapy) to develop our special needs students, depending on their needs

REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience working with children and young students with learning disabilities
• Innovative in using different ways of reaching different students and guiding them to progress in their own way
• Self-driven work ethic. You should be able to work independently, enjoy taking initiative and seeing things through to completion
