Carnival Cocktails for Cancer is an evening of amazing food and creative cocktails featuring some of Alberta’s most talented bartenders and chefs. The event will take place at Hotel Arts on Sunday, September 30th from 7 – 10 pm.

Carnival Cocktails for Cancer is dedicated to the memory of the late, great and fabulous Jennifer Gardiner aka Jen Unplugged.

Jen passed away in February of 2014 after a courageous battle with colorectal cancer. After her diagnosis Jen met this terrible disease head on, and began actively raising awareness for the importance of clinical trials in finding a cure. Jen also became an inspiration to others fighting their own battles with cancer, starring in a documentary entitled “The Uplife Project” where she shared her story and sought to help others battling this terrible diseas.. Jen encouraged others to “live fiercely, to live out loud, and to be present in every second of life”, which is a motto she herself lived courageously until her last days.

Jen’s legacy lives on in many ways, including continued fundraising to support research to continue the fight for a cure.
