The American Kidney Fund is the nation's leading nonprofit working on behalf of the 30 million Americans with kidney disease and those at risk for kidney disease. We help low income kidney patients by providing direct financial support enabling them to access lifesaving medical care including dialysis and transplantation. We also provide health education resources, invest in clinical research and advocate for legislation and policies supporting issues that are important to the people we serve.
National Headquarters is located in Rockville MD. The Northeast Regional Office is a satellite office located in Melville NY. As we are a small office we rely heavily on the volunteers who support us in a variety of ways. Volunteers participate on fundraising and event committees; assist in the solicitation of financial and inkind donations, participate onsite at events and assist with office work.
