Description
Do you have an hour or two a week to share with someone who has a disability?

Can friendship be available to everybody? Can isolation be reduced? We think so. And we're working towards these goals one person at a time. Volunteers are matched one-on-one to people with disabilities to reduce isolation and vulnerability.

Get together 3-4 times per month. Make your own schedule and choose your own activities. Can be as simple as having a cup of coffee or watching a movie together.

Must be at least 18 years old, commit a minimum of 12 months to the match and take a police check. Training and on-going support are provided.

As a friend to someone with a disability you can have a profound effect on their life by reducing loneliness and isolation; helping to achieve hopes and dreams; developing personal networks and relationships; decreasing vulnerability; and increasing self-confidence, mental and physical health.

Join our team of more than 250 volunteer advocates who are enriching the lives of someone in their community.
