The time of the distribution is from 1pm-3pm.

We have 2 different types of weekly food distributions(MONDAY):

1st & 3rd and when it happens 5th Mondays SHIFT OPTIONS:
THIS EVENT IS FOR OUR SMALLER SIZED DISTRIBUTIONS
OPENING, 10am - 1pm: Bagging groceries from the Los Angeles Food Bank
MID-SHIFT, 1pm - 3pm: Bagging groceries AND work though the distribution
CLOSING, 3pm- 5:30pm: Help cleaning up after the distribution
PLEASE NOTE: YOU CAN STAY AND HELP FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT

On 1st, 3rd and when it happens 5th Mondays - we serve 260 - 360 households on these weeks

We work in our Hall to bag fresh fruits and vegetables, dry products such as rice, beans, and peas, frozen things such as meat or frozen treats, and canned goods.
Then, we put all of the items into a singular plastic bag and distribute them to our community. Throughout this procedure, we are still following to the CDC's safety and health requirements. Masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves will be provided. (Masks are optional)

During BAGGING & DISTRIBUTION, We work with air ventilation, some people work outside and some people work inside.

2nd/4th Mondays SHIFT OPTIONS:THIS EVENT IS FOR OUR LARGER SIZED DISTRIBUTIONS
OPENING, 10am - 1pm: Help set up event at our parking lot across the street from the Church, make sure tents, tables, chairs are set up for the distribution, and assemble groceries down the line
MID-SHIFT, 1pm - 3pm: Assembling & pushing groceries down the line, work through the distribution
CLOSING, 3pm - 5:30pm: Help cleaning up the event, activities include; Breaking down boxes, picking up trash, carrying tables back to our hall, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU CAN STAY AND HELP FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT

Second and Fourth Mondays - we serve 350 - 420 households on these weeks

We help and unload the Mobile Food Pantry truck that contains the items that we distribute, some items
include fresh fruits and vegetables, dry products such as rice, beans, and peas, frozen things such as meat or frozen treats, and canned goods. Diapers and personal care products for women are also among the things we give out. To begin, we set up an assembly line in the form of a "T," working our way from the bottom of the T, assembling together all the items we unload from the truck, to the top of the T, where we hand them out to the partakers. Participants are strongly advised to bring a shopping cart or wagon to this event due to the larger and heavier items.

Throughout this procedure, we are still following to the CDC's safety and health requirements. Masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves will be provided. (Masks are optional)

Please check the weather forecast on the day of your shift, since we will likely be working in adverse circumstances on such days. THIS IS AN OUTSIDE SHIFT so we still serve our community regardless of heavy rain or heatwaves.

PLEASE IDENTIFY WHICH SHIFT IS THE MOST APPROPRIATE FOR YOU & YOUR SCHEDULE.


Please park in the lot next to our church(NOT OPEN FOR LARGER SIZED ITEMS DISTRIBUTION; 2ND/4TH MONDAYS), which is at the corner of Tyrone and Victory. You can also park along the street in any open spot.
