Primary Function:
We are looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist in writing financial grant proposals for our organization. This volunteer will be responsible for writing coherent, organized and compelling proposals. You will collaborate with team members in the organization who will assist in completing your financial grant proposals.
To ensure success you need to write well, have proficient knowledge of grant writing methods and protocols and be committed to the mission you are representing. Preferred applicants are deadline-driven team players with outstanding multi-tasking abilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing a proficient knowledge of our organization’s history and programs. Display a strong knowledge of our key stakeholders and a passion toward our mission.
Assisting with the development of our Financial Grants strategy
Identifying grant funding opportunities.
Writing, submitting and managing grant proposals. Assist in addressing any questions on our grant applications.
Maintaining records in hard copies and electronically on Dropbox.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in creative writing or related field.
Grant writing experience is a plus.
Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
Strong knowledge of fundraising information sources.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong people skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
