Program Management
Manage a team of Professionals and college students providing mental health support groups, mentoring services, community discussions and outreach events virtually and onsite.
Administrative Duties
To develop action oriented policy reform ideas along with the President
To act as chairperson for membership drives, fundraisers and campaigns
To engage in public speaking events in the absence of the President for marketing purposes and community engagement
To work closely alongside the leaders of different committees within the Mental Exchange, Inc. to promote agency structure and program development f
To build and foster membership relationships
To oversee program coordinators and volunteers
Find applicable grants and equip grant writer(s) with information required to apply for grants
Duties include but not limited to:
To assist with daily operations to increase community knowledge of social, emotional, political, historical and current events
To recruit and oversee volunteers while building and maintaining positive role modeling relationships.
To recruit guest speakers in alignment with our principals to facilitate informational groups for the purpose of mental wellness, economic advancement, financial literacy, and political science/civic engagement knowledge
To assist with planning and organizing career day community events with first responders, mental health professionals, educators, and other community builders.
To empower community members and promote higher education by increased awareness of grants and scholarship programs
To maintain confidentiality, dignity, and respect of all persons and members
To provide onboarding and training to new program volunteers and community partners.
Requirements:
Understands systemic racial inequality and socioeconomic barriers
Passionate about partnering with others to overcome societal barriers and improve socioeconomic and educational status
21 years or older
Bachelors degree in business/management or social/human services related field.
5 years relevant experience within at least two or more of the following fields: monitoring/coaching adolescents, mental health, healthcare responders, civic engagement community outreach, program management, business relations, financial services.
Resides in Florida or familiar with south Florida region to provide resources and build community relationships.
Available at least 30 hours per month to fulfill administrative tasks associated with role.
