Here are some reasons why people mentor:

They know their skills are needed.

There is a possibility to effect change in a teen.

They want to learn new skills.

They want to give back to the community.

They want to have an impact on future generations. It can be fun ,,,

The ideal candidate will:

Make a one-year commitment to being matched with a youth
Meet at least one hour per week virtually with a youth
Attend mentor training sessions
Be able to pass a background check
