Social isolation marks a startling 56% of older adults according to 2020 study. Connection is vital. That’s where YOU come in. Help impact the lives of an older adult by making friendly phone calls. Your unique background and interests will be taken into consideration and you will be matched with one senior to call every week. Nurturing, supportive feedback and training provided by trained professionals in the geriatric field.

With your phone buddy, you can:

Develop a friendship with an older person
Hear interesting stories
Video chat with Face Time or Zoom
Talk about favorite books & movies
Play games like chess online
Attend virtual workshops together
Please note that all volunteers must be at least 18 years old and live in the New York tri-state area (New York, New Jersey or Connecticut). There is a minimum commitment of 6 months.
