BCAUSEICAN has a mission to provide programs and services to underserved communities. The leading program is the BCAUSEICANCODE curriculum, which provides the instruction of coding concepts, terminology and skills to begin the art of coding for grades K-12. We currently focus on schools in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia (the DMV as it is known to locals). With the impacts of COVID-19, the need for online teaching has grown tremendously. And the need to teach children how to use computers is more important than ever.


BCAUSEICAN is looking for a volunteer who can help assist with the social media and marketing duties of the organization. This position should be familiar with social media platforms (ie. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) and is able to learn how to use various social media management tools. This position will work closely with the Executive Director and Marketing Manager, as well as communicate with the Program Directors. This position is remote and will require 3-5 hours per week of estimated time.


Skills:

1-2 years -Experience with social media platforms

Experience with Google Drive and Google Workspace a plus

Experience with Digital Media/ Editing (preferred). Familiar with Youtube a plus

Able to work as a team member and collaborator


Education:

High School Graduate or some College
