Description
Join us in the fight against food and transportation insecurity! JFS (Jewish Family Service) has three opportunities available for volunteer drivers, who play a vital role in supporting those most at risk during the pandemic – from driving older adults to doctor appointments to delivering fresh groceries to home-bound individuals.

Rides & Smiles
Rides and Smiles offers one-way trips to older adults who no longer drive. Running errands? Why not drop off an older adult at the grocery store on your way? Volunteers donate their time and energy while infusing dignity and independence into the lives of older adults who still value connection to community.

Project-19
The JFS COVID 19 Home-Delivered Meal Program is a nutrition service established to support those most critically impacted by the current pandemic. As part of this program, JFS volunteers provide no-contact home deliveries of frozen meals or groceries to those who are 65+ and are at high risk, with limited or no means of food each day.

Foodmobile
Foodmobile delivers no-contact fresh and frozen meals to San Diego's home-bound older adults and disabled younger adults. Volunteers are often the only visitors individuals have, making their smiles, time, and compassion go a long way for our clients!
