Help Seniors in Your Community!

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that makes a huge impact on your community and requires only a an hour or two of your time each week? Delivering meals is a simple and effective way to help seniors in your community who are home-bound due to age or disability. Many of our Meals on Wheels clients see but one face per day--that of our volunteers!

Volunteers use their own vehicle to deliver hot, nutritious meals on weekdays between 10:30 am and 12 pm. We provide masks and gloves and recommend that you place the meal on the front stoop and take a few steps back so that you can greet the senior from a distance. We will work with you to find a day, pickup location and route close to your home or office. You can volunteer once a week, once a month, seasonally or as a substitute!

Volunteers are needed throughout Lake and McHenry Counties, with the biggest need in west central Lake County.
