Illustrator Volunteer Position Brief

Empowerment Through Integration, Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to disrupt the traditional narrative surrounding disability through both empowering youth with disabilities individually, and accelerating authentic inclusion globally.

Empowerment Through Integration is searching for a talented Illustrator to create original pieces of artwork for print and digital publications, specifically to accompany our eLearning educational materials.

For this role, you will collaborate with team members, educational consultants, and editors to design effective illustrations that will enrich the educational experience of our beneficiaries. If you can use your creative skills to turn messages and ideas into appealing illustrations, we would like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will create illustrations that meet quality standards under ambitious deadlines.

Responsibilities
Prepare rough drafts according to requirements
Refine designs with illustration software
Use various colors, graphics and effects to optimize the visualize each concept
Format images using computer-aided design software
Participate in design briefs with educational consultants, team members, and/or editors to identify needs
Define time limitations
Brainstorm with the design team to come up with new ideas, patterns and styles
Stay up-to-date with new design techniques and software
Requirements
Proven work experience as an Illustrator, Graphic Designer, or similar role
Demonstrable portfolio of completed illustrations
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
Solid knowledge of image editing and digital sketching software, such as Photoshop, Indesign, and Adobe Illustrator
Drawing skills with an attention to detail
Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills
Ability to collaborate and meet deadlines
