Principal Responsibilities
? Develop and manage an effective donor retention strategy.
? Develop and implement strategies for donor solicitation that will grow annual revenue
from individuals, including managing appeal campaigns and online giving initiatives.
? Monitor all prospect contacts to ensure positive and purposeful prospect and donor relations.
? Manage newly launched major donor giving circles, including cultivation, solicitations and benefit fulfillment.
? Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle, including initiation of contacts with potential major donors, developing cultivation strategies, moving potential donors
to solicitation and closure and making solicitation when appropriate.
Key relationships
The Individual Giving Coordinator will:
? Report to the Executive Director, assisting in managing his prospects and effectively deploying the ED as a fundraising asset.
? Attend quarterly meetings of the board of directors and serve as a liaison to the board development committee.
? Work closely with the programs department to align programmatic goals and fundraising efforts.
? Maintain collegial and collaborative relations with the marketing department to ensure alignment of communications strategies, products, messages and
technologies with fundraising efforts.
? Attend quarterly meetings for the board of directors and serve as the liaison to
ensure accurate revenue estimates and projections are integrated into the financial
status reports
Preferred Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree required
? One to three years of fundraising experience
? Excellent organizational and analysis skills
? Ability to use technology effectively
? Familiarity with donor databases, Excel and Word
? Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and sometimes competing deadlines ?
Strong interpersonal skills
? Ability to attend two-hour weekly team meetings on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings
? Must be a team player and willing to perform other duties as assigned for success of P3i
? Ability to work independently without close oversight
? Comply with the association of fundraising professionals, otherwise known as AFP, Donor Bill of Rights and Code of Ethical Principles and Standards
