Description
We're a Healthcare organization providing excellent patient care to our community. We have robust Volunteer Department that provides opportunities to anyone that is interested in giving time while learning, growing and developing skills within a hospital environment. We're looking for candidates that are 18 years of age and older.
Below are the opportunities that we offer:
1. Administrative/Clerical - Volunteers provide assistance in office setting: data entry, fax/scan, filing, answer phones, receptionist, mailings, outreach, info & referrals, assist with client/patient advocacy
2. Temperature Takers – Volunteers that will work at our entrances within the hospital monitoring employees/visitors temperatures and any symptoms of COVID. They’ll be provided with the proper PPE equipment
3. Unit Aides – Volunteers under direction of a Head Nurse/designee provides and support direct and in-direct patient care
4. Healing Hearts – Volunteers to provide under the direction of a supervisor or designee a welcoming atmosphere, visiting patients providing support to them while in the hospital. Friendly visitors serve as the hospital representative for the patient, family, visitor and customer relations.
5. Ambassador Greeters – Volunteers to provide under the direction of a supervisor or designee a welcoming atmosphere, greeting, and directing patients and visitors throughout the facility
6. Outreach Ambassadors – Volunteers to provide under the direction of a supervisor or designee assist in maintaining liaison between the hospital, community members and community agencies. Assist in all major projects, special in-house and community events.
7. Patient Library Aide – Volunteers to assist in the distribution of books and magazines to patients in the wards and outpatient surgery waiting areas.
8. Visitor Escorting – Volunteers to escort our patients/visitors to help provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital
9. Floor Monitor – Volunteers stationed on different floors to check IDs and Visitors Passes throughout the day and evening
We’re a 24/7 operation and have all shifts available
