With our recent expansion to the Pittsburgh area, we look forward to making valuable connections with STEM professionals eager to join our mission of shaping and developing the next generation STEM workforce. Our Site Visit program is specially designed to offer the following opportunities for students at two stages:

Stage 1: Classroom Visits
S.Y.STEM Coalition would like to provide students the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of STEM fields and careers. This opportunity allows our volunteers to share their experiences with students inside the classroom. Potential volunteers will be asked to organize a PowerPoint® presentation and a hands-on activity or visual demonstration showcasing their area of STEM.

Stage 2: Site Visits
S.Y.STEM Coalition would like to partner with Pittsburgh’s most innovative businesses to show students what a career in STEM looks like. Classes of students would have the opportunity to tour key manufacturing, research and development and technology sites. We hope to provide not just a field trip, but an entire educational experience meant to enrich educational experiences for students inside and outside of the classroom.
